Greystroke, a.k.a. Shyam Madhavan Sarada, is a semi-pro photographer, with a penchant for black & white street photography and portraiture, and a profound love for chiaroscuro, which is evident in his work. His photographs have appeared in several magazines and newspapers.

Black & White photography allows me to explore that complex yet delicate relationship between light and shade, between texture and form. Sometimes you need to strip a picture of colour to see the poetry in it. I use a point-and-shoot camera because a photograph is about capturing a moment, a DSLR just slows me down.Shyam Madhavan Sarada

[Occasionally, Shyam likes to indulge in a bit of colour photography as well. Not so often, but just enough!]
